Is CBS College Sports HD a Joke?

The inaugural live high definition college football game was broadcast this afternoon on CBS College Sports, which was formerly known as CSTV. Hope you caught it. By our count, the network currently only has another 7 Live HD College Football games scheduled this season.

They are scheduled to show one more in September, three in October and three in November. While they certainly could add some more live HD games to their line up, it doesn’t appear that they are going to come close to matching the promised 200 Live events ESPNU HD promises to show in their first year.

So the question is, why does DirecTV choose to carry this waste of bandwidth (at least as it stands right now) over ESPNU HD?

Thanks to Andy for pointing this out. Below is the announced CBS College Sports HD Schedule.

Perhaps if they had any plans of showing any games in HD worth watching I would care, but from this schedule they could reduce it down to no HD games, and I don;t think we’d be missing anything.
