College Football Coverage Map Clarification
August 28th Morning Update: It appears that the 8:00 PM ABC College Football game for Saturday August 30th will not be a reverse mirror as we had earlier reported. While originally it appeared ABC and ESPN 2 would be dividing broadcast coverage of the 2 8:00 PM games amongst varying US regions, it’s clear now that ABC will be the sole provider of both of these games and will be blacking out one of the games.
As this map shows, the markets highlighted in yellow (most of the country) will receive the Alabama Crimson Tide vs Clemson Tigers game at 8:00, and the blue markets will get the Michigan State Spartans vs California Golden Bears game. Unlike the 3:30 ABC/ESPN 2 game which was a reverse mirror, those markets receiving one game will be unable to view the other on any national TV network. The games will, however, be available on ESPN360.com
Here is the Saturday night 8:00 PM ESPN and ABC lineup of games. As you can see, ESPN and ESPN 2 both have national games scheduled and will not be mirroring ABC for the 8 o’clock hour. Be sure to check the map to see which game you will be receiving in your area for the 8 PM ABC window.

So let me get this straight. If the Michigan game is NOT being televised in my area here in Denver, then it WILL NOT be on ESPN2?
