College Football Coverage Maps for November 8
This Saturday ABC has regionalized both the 3:30 game slot and the 8 PM slot, with a reverse mirror of the 3:30 game on ESPN. Also, Big Ten is regionalizing their noon games.
For the 3:30 ABC/ESPN Reverse mirror, ABC will air three games to various markets around the country. Two of these games will be in HD. On the East Coast, look forward to Penn State vs Iowa or Clemson vs Florida State if you’re in the South East. The west coast will be receiving the Penn State vs Iowa game. As for the 1 standard def game, Texas and the Mid-west will be watching Oklahoma vs Texas A&M.
Typically, when one region is missing an HD game on ABC, ESPN will have picked up the HD feed of another game around the country. On this occasion, however, Texas and the rest of the Mid-west will be receiving a standard definition feed on both ABC and ESPN.
At 8 PM the typically national ABC game has been split into two markets. Most of the US will get the Oklahoma State vs Texas Tech game, but the west will receive Cal at USC. Both of these games are in HD, but be sure to check the map to avoid false hopes for watching the Cal game on the east coast.
Finally, the Big Ten Network has again released their GameFinder Coverage Maps, which is a useful and fun interface to find the Big Tne Network in your area along with coverage information.

Why doesn’t Texas A&M get more coverage in Louisiana. I’m a graduate of Texas A&M along with my boss and numerous other Aggies in Louisiana, particularly the Southwest portion. (Lake Chalres has numerous oil refineries and aTm is tops in petroleum engineering)
My question being…do you really think peole in SW Louisiana would rather watch Iowa v Penn St who are both thousands of miles away opposed to aTm who is a hop away????

Smart Move: Texas A&M has a losing record, thus ABC sent Penn State-Iowa into Louisiana. It only made sense as the Sooners laid waste to Kyle Field in “Rout 66″.
Dumb Move: When Texas Tech started to put a hurtin’ on Okie State, ABC did not switch most of the nation to Cal-USC.
