ESPN Shuffles CFB Lineup For Hurricane Gustav
With the approaching Tropical Storm Hurricane Gustav, ESPN has had to shuffle their line up for College Football Saturday, August 30, 2008.
The Appalachian State vs. LSU game, which has been moved from 5:00 PM ET to 11:00 AM ET, will be broadcast on ESPN Classic, where it will no longer be available in high definition.
To fill the void, ESPN HD and ESPNU HD will now simulcast Delaware vs. Maryland, which is scheduled to begin at 3:45 PM ET.
While this is a net loss for the total count of high definition college football games tomorrow, most of the country will break even since ESPNU HD has such limited availability.

I’d like to see ESPN utilize their ESPNews channel for back up purposes in HD. Move News to Classic for the duration of the game, and put the game on the News channel in HD.
Losing three to four hours of HD previews and highlights seems a good trade off to get as many games on in HD.
