Fox July 19th Game of the Week
Hot off the All-Star break, Fox has announced the Game of the Week for July 19th. In case you’ve forgotten, every Saturday at 3:30 PM EST during the MLB season, Fox airs 3 games in three different US markets. In theory, this regionalized distribution gives each market a chance to see the game most relevant to their local interests. That said, word on the streets is that Fox doesn’t always get it right.
Right or wrong, at least it’s in HD.
Here’s the way Fox has decided to break down the markets and distribute the games for July 19th at 3:30 PM EST.
| Fox High Definition Game of the Week; July 19 | |||
| DESCRIPTION | BROADCASTERS | COVERAGE | |
| Boston Red Sox at LA Angels | Thom Brennaman, Eric Karros & Ken Rosenthal | 71% | |
|

| San Diego Padres at St. Louis Cardinals | Matt Vasgersian & Mark Grace | 18% | |

| Philadelphia Phillies at Florida Marlins | Dick Stockton & Tim McCarver | 11% | |

The Mets are only a half-game back of the Phillies as the season resumes tonight. Which game does Fox send into New York on Saturday? The Red Sox.

Grrr! I got so excited when I found out my Marlins were being broadcasted on “National” T.V. on;y to find out that it’s marketed to only 5 cities excluding New York. What a Heartbreaker~
