2008 HD College Football on ABC, ESPN/2 & ESPNU
Months after the announcement about the launch of ESPNU HD, we have added the first high definition 2008 college football games which will air on the network. In fact, we received confirmation from our contact at ESPN that ALL Live 2008 NCAA Football games scheduled for ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN U and ABC will be available in high definition.
This is big news! First, the announcement that FOX will air all NFL games in high def, then the rumors out of AVSForum that CBS will also produce all games in HD (NOTE: Unfortunately, our contact at CBS still maintains that 6-7 HD games per week is where they “stand presently.)
The 2008 College Football HD Schedule is still trickling out, but we have received confirmation about several matchups that will air on the ESPN family of networks. Here are the games that have now been added to our schedule:

Can’t wait for football season! Any news on whether anyone will have ESPN U in HD by then?

Per DBSTalk, DirecTV is supposed to have ESPNU HD available when it launches in August.
This is great news. I am particularly looking forward to the ABC regional games now being available in HD. It seems the 3:30pm Big 12 games were never available in HD at all last year.

Would be nice if they actually made good on their promise.
“The Cincinnati vs Oklahoma game will not be aired in high definition or a part of the reverse mirror with ESPN 2.”

The rule says somthing about ” not using the ball in a celebration”,The kids threw the ball 40 feet into the air. It was a good call ! Besides that what’s the difference between the 3 yard line and the 18, these kickers hit field goals from 50 yards out.Now lets give credit where credit is due,,,BYU blocked the kick !!! Does it matter if they blocked the kick from the 18 or the 3? NO , fact of the matter is ” THEY BLOCKED THE KICK”
