Little League World Series Finals: ESPN & ABC

As the Summer Olympics come to a close, so too must the 2008 Little League World Series. Starting with the semifinals on Wednesday August 20th and reaching through the weekend to the Championship Game on Sunday August 24th, ESPN and ABC will be airing 9 more live high definition Little League games.

First we have to apologize for a misprint in last week’s post about the Little League World Series. Originally it was reported that no US Team ever faces an International Team in the Little League Tournament, but in fact the two teams that reach the end of their respective foreign or domestic tournaments will face off on Sunday the 24th at 3:30.

Getting to the Little League Championship will require a win on either Wednesday or Thursday in the semifinals, which leads to the International and US Championships. Winners of those games play each other on Sunday for the final game. Losers of the International and US Championships play in a consolation game to be aired before the Final Championship on Sunday. Semifinal Games will air on ESPN Wednesday and Thursday, followed by the Championship games Saturday on ABC.
