MASN to Launch Full Time HD in March 09
The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) has announced that will launch an expanded high definition network starting in March of 2009. MASN HD started this season with limited high def coverage of the Orioles and Nationals, but with its expansion will deliver more HD MLB games.
When MASN HD initially launched in 2008, it carried 40 Orioles games in HD and 40 Nationals games in HD. The new MASN plans to carry as many as 200 HD MLB games as well as some College Football, basketball and lacrosse games in high definition.
MASN–which once struggled to find any network distributors for its HD channel–should be carried on Comcast, DirecTV, Cox and RCN.
