National MLB HD Schedules for FOX and ESPN
FOX has announced their complete schedule for Saturday afternoon baseball, and this year all games will be broadcast in high definition. The partial season schedule for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball also been released.
All Saturday afternoon MLB on FOX HD games will begin at 3:30 PM ET, with up to three regionalized games each week. The schedule will feature 21 different teams in as many as 71 games during the regular season, with the final two Saturdays reserved as “wild card” dates, allowing FOX to select up to three games each of those weeks for the Fox Saturday Baseball Game of the Week. FOX Sports will also broadcast the All-Star Game from Yankee Stadium on July 15, the National League Championship Series and the 104th World Series.
ESPN also announced a portion of their 2008 Sunday Night Baseball HD schedule, which will once again feature all games in high definition. The season starts with the opening of Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. on March 30 at 8 PM ET involving the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals. ESPN2 will also air the 2008 regular season opener live from Japan March 25 and 26 at 6:00 AM ET. For those who are unwilling to get up at the crack of dawn (even for the Red Sox), the matchups between the Oakland Athletics and Boston Redsox will be re-aired at 2:00 PM each day.

How can you have 2 games going at the same time on FOX…I am trying to get the Atlanta Braves game today but the Phillies & Mets are playing. The schedule says the Braves should be on…what gives? I don’t understand!

Fox baseball coverage is regionalized. They have exclusive rights to each game, so if it is not being broadcast in your market, you can’t see it. We post an update each week outlining which markets will get each game.

so the games are in 720 P, not 1080 i HD, correct? Any reason for this?

@Nicholas - Fox and ESPN both broadcast all of their high definition in 720p instead of 1080i. It was a decision made when they invested in their technology to broadcast HD.

so, if i dont live in the market in which you are “nationally” broadcasting the game of which i want to see, i can not see that game?? why would you do that?? doesnt it just seem more logical for people to be able to choose which game theyd like to watch by having all the games available?? im trying to watch the redsox game, but i cant cuz the cubs game is on. and the redsox game is not available on any other channel because fox is broadcasting it. i have direct tv extra innings for the specific reason that i get to watch all of the red sox games. but for some reason, todays game 6/7 is not available. why is this??

why are you showing the cubs/cards in philly this week instead of yankees/angels i live way closer to new york then chicago and the yankees would get a higher rating plus the angels are the best team in baseball and its my sons birthday party and he is a huge yankeee fan would love it if you could change it or tell me how to watch it thanks
