MLB on Fox: Saturday 8/30 Regionalization
Fox has again released its regionalization plans for the Saturday Game of the Week. Unlike last week which featured a pretty even Fox distribution, this weekend has a very uneven spread. For Saturday, August 30th, Fox will broadcast the Phillies vs the Cubs to 90% of the US, leaving Rays vs Os with only 9% (Has anyone seen that missiing 1% around anywhere?)
Given the Rays surprisingly good season, you’d think they would get more market share, even if they are only playing the not-so-hot Orioles.

| Philadelphia Phillies at Chicago Cubs | Dick Stockton, Eric Karros & Ken Rosenthal | 90% | |

Why doesn’t the Orioles-Rays game have more than 9% of the country? This is how the team with the 2nd-best record in MLB is showcased? Come on!

Orioles-Rays isn’t airing in Washington DC, Minneapolis or Los Angeles. The Birds draw a lot of fans from the DC metro; the Twins and Angels are possible playoff opponents for the Rays.

Why am I in the one city (Orlando) where I can’t watch the Cubs? FOX needs to figure it out and televise more than one game for people like me that couldn’t care less about the American League. I haven’t been able to watch one Cubs game on a Saturday all summer.
