  1. Calvin Says:

Would like to correct you guys on your HD Schedule for the NY Teams. You can safely list the entire Yankees YES and MY9 HD schedule as being HD, All games on this schedule will be High Def on Yes and MY9NY

MY9 NY is a “720p” channel resolution and will show 21 games in High Definition.

YES Network is 1080i and will show at least 128 regular season games, with the rest of the schedule being National TV game choices, so some more will fall back to YES, once the National TV quota is met.

The Mets are not shown on MSG Plus, this is wholly innacurate. The Mets are on SNY which is their own network, MSG Plus is linked to MSG and has no affiliation with the NY Mets. Please correct this as well.

The Mets will be shown in HD for every game regionally on SNY and CW11

The Yankees will be shown in HD for every game regionally on YES Network and MY9 NY.

Thx and I hope you correct these innacuracies to the regional schedule.

    >>>UPDATE 10:57 AM ET - HDSportsGuide We have changed the MSG Plus mistake, and all of the SNY games are correctly listed now. We have also added the resolution information about MY9 in 720p. Thanks for the help.

  5. matt Says:

All of the Cardianls games on KSDK will also be in HD.

  6. HDSportsGuide Says:

Thanks to the help we have received since this information was posted, we have been able to update some of the Baseball RSN information.

NY Yankees: we received confirmation from YES that all regional games in HD
LA Dodgers: regional coveraged information added
Minnesota Twins: regional coveraged information added
Houston Astros: regional coveraged information added
St. Louis Cardinals: 20 games on KSDK added, and corrected the count of FSN MidWest to 88

We will continue to update this page as we receive additional information.

  7. Ryan Says:

A correction for the Phillies: All of the home games on the CW Philly (WPSG) will also be in HD. Plus they sometimes announce on short notice that they will do select road games in HD. Usually where other Comcast networks are located. For example they carried some games at the NYM in HD, and games at the Nationals last year.

    Thanks,
    Ryan Anthony

  8. HDSportsGuide Says:

    Ryan,

We have searched for confirmation of this, and actually emailed a rep at WPSG last week, but have not gotten any response. I know that CW Philly and the sister station have a new high def studio and broadcast center, but the only game I was able to confirm was the opening day broadcast on KYW. Do you have a link to any confirmation or press release that all home games on CW Philly will be available in high definition?

    We appreciate the help.

  9. Looky Lou Says:

now for the $64,000 dollar question. If you have the MLB EXTRA INNINGS PACKAGE through COX CABLE will they be showing the games in High Def?

  10. Ryan Says:

I was just basing it off the fact that last year every Phillies home game that I saw on WPSG was in HD.

    Thanks,
    Ryan Anthony

P.S. awesome job with the new site!

  11. Ryan Says:

And the road games they do in HD are only on Comcast Sportsnet.

  12. Calvin Says:

Here is a link for the Colorado Rockies HD schedule on FSN Rocky Mountain, a total of 85 HD games

    http://blog.rockiesworld.com/2008/03/fsn-rocky-mountain-to-telecast-85.html

  13. Calvin Says:

75 Angels Games on FSN West HD. I came across this link for the Angels on their forum for the HD games as noted on the schedule primarily on FSN West HD and it looks like 1 game on FSN Prime Ticket HD, don’t know if KCOP does HD games for the Angels, but doesn’t seem so from looking it up.

    Update:
    News
Cox: MLB ‘Extra Innings’ In HD
    By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (March 26, 2008) — Cox Communications says it will provide some games in Major League Baseball’s ‘Extra Innings’ package in High-Definition.

However, the cable operator offers no details such as how many games or even which local Cox systems will provide high-def coverage.

“We will offer those games in HD in select markets,” Cox spokeswoman Erin Lambermont tells TVPredictions.com. “It’s up to each market to determine whether to carry (games in HD).”

Update: Lambermont said Wednesday morning that Cox systems in San Diego and Rhode Island have committed to carrying the high-def games

    http://www.tvpredictions.com/forum/index.php

  17. Josh Says:

Anything on Time Warner in New York for HD Extra Innings games?

  18. Josh Says:

I should have looked at the link.

    From: tvpredictions.com

Time Warner and Charter also carried the Extra Innings package last year. TVPredictions.com has issued inquiries to the two cable operators asking about their 2008 plans, including high-def, but have yet to receive a response.

  19. HDSportsGuide Says:

HDSportsGuide has teamed up with “homcom”, a regular contributor at AVSforum.com to add a new homcom HD Sports Blog.

homcom has worked hard over the past few months to compile a comprehensive spreadsheet of all Major League Baseball games, indicating which station each game will be carried on and whether it will be broadcast in high definition. Go over to http://www.HDSportsGuide.com/homcom to check out his blog and take a look at his first post from last night to download the spreadsheets.

We will be working on making sure that all of the information he has gathered matches what is already in our guide. We are excited about this future working relationship! As those who know him from AVSForum.com are aware, he is a wealth of knowledge about HD Sports.

  20. lutton Says:

    re: Philadelphia

I’ll second that almost all Phillies home games are broadcast in HD, whether its CSN or CW57. The exception is early season home games that may be broadcast on the alternate CN8 channel when there is a conflict with a Sixers or Flyers broadcast on CSN.

While I don’t have a source for that, that’s been the situation for a couple years now.

  21. James Says:

The Dodgers must be big favorites in the NL West since according to your info they will have 98 HOME games broadcast in HD. I thought each team only played 81 home games.

  22. HDSportsGuide Says:

Our guide should be correct for the number of dodgers games in HD, but I did miscount when updating the news post about the listings. turns out it’s 124 games total in HD. 75 on FSN Prime and 49 on KCAL.

  23. Jason Says:

The Dodgers website lists 99 games on “PRIME-HD” (which is all the games listed for FSN Prime Ticket), and if all games on KCAL are in HD, then all Dodger broadcasts are in HD.

The Diamondbacks should be corrected to be on FSN Arizona (not FSN Southwest).

The Marlins should be corrected to be on FSN Florida and SunSports.

The Royals website lists the HD games now.

  24. HDSportsGuide Says:

Thanks to your help as well as the expertise of homcom, we have updated the above summary for the 2008 MLB Regional Sports Network coverage (as of April 1 2008). This is the final update to this post, but if we have any changes or additions, we will continue to update the guide as well as the information on the team pages. Thanks again to everyone who’s sent us information, and we hope you continue to do so.

  25. Matt Says:

According to the broadcast tonight, CSN Bay Area will be televising 40 of their 81 Athletics games in HD.

  26. lutton Says:

Also regarding the Phillies, today’s (Sat, April 5) road game @ Cincinnati was produced in widescreen non-HD (might be 480p ED, but I’m not sure about that) as many Flyers road games were this year.

I’d prefer HD, but this incremental step is better than none.
