NBA Playoffs Confirmed Through Sunday
With the Detroit Pistons advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals after knocking off the Orlando Magic in Five games, the NBA Playoffs schedule has been confirmed through Sunday. The Pistons will have to wait until at least Friday to see who they will face in the next round, as the LA Lakers and the Utah Jazz are locked in 2-2 series tie after Tuesday night’s game.
With all three of the remaining series set to go at least six games, the only game times that remain up in the air for the remainder of the Conference Semifinals are the possible Game 7 matchups scheduled for Monday night.
NBA.com site still lists the tentative Game 7 on Sunday between the Cavaliers and Celtics as TBD for time and network. The two possible time slots available based on the original announced Playoff schedule are 3:30 PM ET on ABC or 8:00 PM ET on TNT. However, since we have been told that ABC has priority over the TNT slot, if that game is needed, it will be on ABC.

If all Lakers/Jazz ends after 6, are they planning to start the West Finals Sunday? The West Coast Finals are supposed to air on TNT, which means that if they do start the series early it would air Sunday night and ABC would not get a game unless Spurs/Hornets and Cavs/Celtics also end in 6.

There will definitely be an ABC game on Sunday. It will either be Cavs/Celtics game 7, or game 1 of the East Finals. Same thing applies for the West on Monday on TNT, we’ll either have a game 7 in the West Semis or game 1 of the West Finals.
