NBA Playoffs Update for Thursday and Beyond
With two more teams eliminated from the NBA Playoffs Tuesday night (Suns and Mavericks), the schedule for Thursday night has been finalized. There will only be one game Thursday, Detroit Pistons vs. Philadelphia 76ers at 8:00 PM ET on TNT.
UPDATE 5/1/2008 9:45 AM ET: Cleveland at Washington Game 6 will be played at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2.
The schedule for Friday and Saturday is also starting to take shape. On Friday, ESPN will broadcast the Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets vs. Utah Jazz at 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM ET respectively. The third possible Friday game, Washington vs Cleveland, will air on ESPN 2 if the Wizards pull off a victory tonight. For Saturday, TNT has confirmed that they will be airing Game 1 of the San Antonio Spurs - New Orleans Hornets Conference Semifinal Playoff series. However, start time and announcers will not be determined until after they know whether Game 7 of the Pistons-76ers series will also be played.
For Sunday, we did receive confirmation from our reps at ABC/ESPN that ABC will have at least two games, and they have priority over the two time slots TNT has on the tentative Playoffs broadcast schedule.
