NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Conference Finals
The NHL Stanley Cup Conference Finals are set to begin Thursday, May 8th. The complete schedule has been released, including the starting times and channels for all games leading up to the Finals.
The “all-American” Stanley Cup Playoffs will be carried on Versus and NBC in the United States and on CBC, TSN and RDS in Canada. All games will be available in high definition with exclusive national broadcast coverage. That means no Regional Sports Network coverage and no blackouts to worry about.

I would definitely prefer CSN coverage for the Flyers/Penguins than the Versus crappy coverage. Are they going to definitely show all of these games in HD this round?

Currently game 1 of the ECF on Friday is not scheduled to be shown in HD.

Rob, Can you post a source for this? Everything we have seen indicates it will be on Versus HD, CBC HD and RDS HD.

UPDATE: Turns out NHL.com and Versus don’t exactly see eye-to-eye on what Versus is broadcasting in HD. Despite conflicting reports, the Flyers vs Penguins game will be in SD on Friday on Versus. The game is still HD on CBC and

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals has been added to Mojo HD. I love the sport, but what a joke the NHL is…

UPDATE: We’ve added Mojo HD to the list of networks broadcasting the 5/9 ECF game, but were unable to find information about the rest of the series thus far. We are trying to get more information about the upcoming series and the Versus/Mojo rift, and will update the guide as necessary. Thanks to William for bringing this to our attention.

In an underwhelming announcement by the NHL, the first round ECF game for Friday May 9 WILL be on Versus in HD, according to a last minute post on Versus.com
