Ravens vs Texans Moved to Monday Night

UPDATE 9/13/2008: Due to the damage to Relian Stadium, the Week 2 Ravens vs. Texans game has been rescheduled. Read more about the NFL Schedule Shuffel.

ORIGINAL POST

Thanks to Hurricane Ike, the NFL game originally scheduled for 4:15 Sunday on CBS has been moved to 8:30 PM Monday. According to CBS, the game will not be nationally televised on Monday night, but made available only to Baltimore, Washington and Houston markets, as well as some ’secondary markets.’

According to the506.com, the Houston v Baltimore game will air Monday night on WJZ Baltimore, WUSA Washington, WBOC Salisbury, WHP Harrisburg, KHOU Houston, KFDM Beaumont and KBTX Bryan.

As for the Sunday schedule affected by Hurricane Ike, US markets originally scheduled to receive the Houston vs Baltimore game will now likely see the Patriots take on the Jets.

Here’s Sunday’s updated CBS NFL Map after the Houston/Baltimore game was removed and affected markets changed accordingly. Thanks again, to JP Kirby at the506.com

UPDATE 9/12/2008 8:00 PM ET: According to Mike Florio at profootballtalk.com, the Ravens and Texans game will be available on DirecTV Sunday Ticket on Monday night. Our good friend Gary points out that the DirecTV Sunday Ticket Schedule lists the game for channel 717.

It looks like the game is being postponed. According to the Houston Chronicle, the stadium took significant damage and will be unusable. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5999358.html

It’s up to the league to determine when/where it will be made up.

  2. Mike Says:

When this happened a few years ago (I believe the Chiefs and Dolphins?) DirecTV did NOT broadcast the postponed game. I called them and they cited their “games are subject to change” and “Sunday Ticket applies only to the 1:00 and 4:00 Eastern games” policy. Perhaps things have changed.

Confirmation: Sunday, November 9 at 1:00

The Bengals were scheduled to play the Texans that day. The Ravens were scheduled to have an off day.

Houston and Cincy both have a bye on 10/26. Does this mean that the Bengals-Texans game is going to be played that day instead?
