Tentative MLB Divisional Series Playoff Schedule
A tight race in the American League has forced Major League Baseball Officials to release the fast-approaching 2008 Playoff Schedule with tentative matchups pending an additional regular season make-up game which may force a one game playoff on Tuesday.
The MLB Divisional Series Playoffs are set to start on Wednesday, October 1st, and original season scheduling had penned Sunday September the 28th as the final day of the regular MLB season, but games required to determine whether the Twins or White Sox will be playing in October are being played Monday and maybe Tuesday.
Most of the Playoff Schedule has been released, but tonight’s game between the Tigers and the White Sox will determine if the Sox can play their way into the Divisional Series for a possible 5 game series against the Tampa Bay Rays. If the White Sox win tonight they will play the Twins in a one game playoff on Tuesday. If the Sox lose tonight, there will be no Tuesday game and the Twins will face the Rays on Wednesday.
Here’s the schedule as it stands before the White Sox have gotten their chance to force a playoff on Tuesday. As the schedule is confirmed on Monday Night or Tuesday Night, look to the MLB Playoffs Schedule for updates, as this page will not be updated.
UPDATE 10/1: After the White Sox defeat of the Twins on Tuesday, they will go on to play the Tampa Bay Rays in the Divisional Series on TBS. Follow the MLB Playoff Schedule above to see the updated schedule

After a 3-hour rain delay in Chicago the Sox beat the Tigers 8-2.
Twins-White Sox for the AL Central title on TBS tomorrow at 7:30 ET.
