US Open Playoff - Woods v Mediate - Mon. 6/16 at 12pm et
In dramatic fashion, Tiger Woods dropped a birdie putt to force an 18 hole playoff for the 2008 U.S. Open Championship. Number one ranked Woods will face the 158th ranked Rocco Mediate starting at 12:00 PM ET on ESPN and coverage will shift to NBC at 2:00 PM ET.
The US Open Playoff will be a full 18-hole round. Tiger Woods is going for his 14th major and Rocco is attempting to become the oldest to win the U.S. Open at 45.

What channel will the playoff start on ESPN Direct TV?

NBC should have televised the playoff start to finish. Joining in progress only confuses viewers.
