ABC/ESPN Regional Map for October 24 3:30 Games
ABC has some good games in the 3:30 slot this week including Clemson at #10 Miami (fla.) (19%), #13 Penn State at Michigan (45%) Oklahoma at #25 Kansas (17%) and #11 Oregon at Washington (19%). The only problem is the best game of the week is going to be on in Versusland.
#16 BYU is hosting #8 TCU (7:30 Eastern) in what is by far the best game of the week. First off it is the only game between two ranked teams and second of all College Gameday is making the trek to Provo for this game (which builds a lot of confidence in their selection process, because they have no rights to broadcast any of the remaining games of either team). The only problem is, if you have DirecTV, you are not going to be able to watch this game.
This is the same problem that the NHL and UFL have. Versus and DirecTV are squabbling over prices and neither one of them is going to budge and the ones who are hurt are the fans. As of right now the only nationally televised NHL games are on Versus until NBC starts broadcasting in January, so if you are an NHL fan in a city that doesn’t have an NHL team the only way you can see any games is to buy their pay per view package. For the UFL, I am guessing nobody even knew that started and this article talks about this issue regarding the UFL.
Well hopefully you somehow have Versus on your cable package and can tune into the TCU at BYU game. It is always exciting to see a top 10 offense (BYU) take on a top 10 defense (TCU). Especially when it features probably the best pass rushing defensive end in Jerry Hughes attacking a top flight senior quarterback in Max Hall.
If you do not get it the ABC games are pretty good, but most of them have teams with major flaws like Washington’s prevent defense (see about 2:00 on that video). Kansas losing to Colorado in any situation. Clemson being Clemson and losing to teams like Maryland.
I am excited about the Penn State at Michigan game though and once again the Big Ten has the best game and is deserving of their place in the reverse mirror.
Well here is the full schedule for the week. We also have the map for the 8:00 Games that will be showing Texas at Missouri and Oregon State at USC.

Am I the only one who hates the PAC 10? ESPN executives will be receiving an angry letter from me. I might throw in some ALL CAPS writing to really let them know how I feel.

Yecch–once again NYC gets stuck with the Penn State
game; wouldn’t the Okla./Kansas game be more interesting or exciting? Anyway, thank heavens for NBC–at least we can watch Notre Dame. Go Touchdown Jesus!!!

THANK GOD Michigan v. Penn State is being broadcast here in Georgia. I was worried they were going to put Oklahoma/Kansas on.

Yeah Jess you big dumb idiot. Pac 10 Rules! Think about it – we always get to see USC lose a totally bogus conference game every year a la OSU, Washington, Stanford, we get to see an UNBELIEVABLY over rated Cal team get smashed every year, plus sprinkle in a little MMA brought to you by Legarette Blount. What a great conference! DUMBFACE.

When will ABC realize New York is not Big Ten country? Penn State week after week. I would rather see Cleson – Miami or Okla and Kansas.

I love the PAC-10 and was none too happy when they showed Baylor whoever it was here in Montana. Nobody here cares about that crap!

Once again ABC/ESPN has messed up in Tennessee. We have double coverage of the same game on both channels.
