Why not put the Oklahoma at Nebraska in Chicago. That is a much bigger rivalry than Conn and Cin.
There are a lot of Nebraska Fams in Chicago.
November 4th, 2009 at 3:41 pm
No. There are a ton of people from Cincy/Ohio in Chicago, and while Oklahoma-Nebraska may be a bigger rivalry, Cincinnati is an elite team so they get the #1 spot.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
I live in Connecticut and don’t want to see that game!! Agrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! As usual will have the buy it on ESPN game plan! Thanks for nothing ABC…..
November 4th, 2009 at 4:25 pm
Okay, first of all, each affiliate decides which game to carry, so if you have a beef, take it up with them. Second, Cinci is an “elite” team? If you say so, LOL.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
I live in Chicago so I represent 99% of Chicagoans. And I would rather watch a historic rivalry like OU vs Neb rather than an overrated Cincy team play Conn.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:33 pm
You will probably be able to watch the Neb-OU game on ESPN 2.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:36 pm
There are so many husker fans all over. Why wouldn’t the OU NU game be national coverage? I guess to be “elite”, all you have to do is play teams like U Conn all season
November 4th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
WLS Channel 7 in Chicago. You blew it again, you pick up a game that has little or no interest to most Chicagoans.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:40 pm
The UO/Nebraska game and most regional ABC/ESPN games are also available on the internet at ESPN360.com if available through your cable provider or Internet Service Provider. I live in Oregon and watched both the VA Tech and Texas Tech game online.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:43 pm
We Huskers on the West Coast ALWAYS get screwed, thanks to the Pac-10. I hope it’s on ESPN or ESPN2 anyway and not GamePlan. But OU/NU isn’t a significant matchup this year. Maybe next year. Go Huskers!
November 4th, 2009 at 4:56 pm
Sorry, fellow Husker fans, but it’s not on ESPN2. GamePlan or ESPN360 are the only other options unless you can find it streaming on your computer at jumptv or wherever.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:57 pm
BOOO!! I’m a HUGE Huskers fan living in the Chicago suburbs. I get to watch UConn? What the hell!!!?????!!!!!!
I guess I gotta go drive north of the border. This is dumb. The problem is the reverse mirrors thing may give us the game on ESPN2, but not ESPN2HD.
BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 4th, 2009 at 4:57 pm
I hate big east football, its just plain terrible. Give me some big 12.
November 4th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
Chicago Husker Fans. I am lucky enough to get to go to this game, but when i can’t get the game i go to the Birds Nest In chicago. Great place to watch the game with other Big Red lovers!!!!
November 4th, 2009 at 5:50 pm
I don’t think there’s a single Big East football fan in the Indy Metro area, yet I see Nebraska flags every Saturday.
November 4th, 2009 at 5:58 pm
The Chicagoans4neb web page lists sites in the Chicago area that will show all televised Nebraska football games, (including PPV games). The Fox and Hound in Schaumburg is one of the sites.
November 4th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
Husker fans!!! Mike is on to the EASY ANSWER. Huskerpedia.com lists all the “Watch Sites” in your area — THEY will have the game on (plus you’re hangin’ with people from back home. Go to http://www.huskerpedia.com/watch/nebraskawatchsites.html
I’m driving from Denver this weekend for the game — look for me, I’ll be the oNe wearing red!
November 4th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
Finally we’re not stuck with a lame Pac 10 game in the Big SKy Country. I’d be curious to see how many Pac 10 fans actually care enough to go to the bar for a look at USC/ASU. Likely not as many as have been showing up to see the Huskers when it’s been unavailable locally.
November 4th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
NU v OU – Anyone outside the broadcast region but having either DISH or DirecTV with the ABC affiliate being IN the broadcast region – are they blocking the game as well from your viewership?
Still waiting for DISH and DirecTV to update their programming for my ABC affiliate.
November 4th, 2009 at 7:07 pm
The map shows the Huskers vs Sooners for Charlotte but you have to wait until kickoff b/c you never know what you’re going to get here. All I want is some real football on TV.. not basketball teams with wins over other basketball teams waiting to get exposed come bowl season.
November 4th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
If you are a husker fan like me, you might be better off watching all those other games rather than the NU/OU game. It’s going to be UGLY…….. EARLY!! Maybe next year.
November 4th, 2009 at 7:51 pm
How can I find out if the OU-NU game will be on in Phoenix? We are forced to watch USC-ASU on ABC…NO THANK YOU!!!!!!
November 4th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
ASU is a Phoenix area based team so of course you get USC-ASU. No fan of Big East Football and I’m in PA. Shame Oklahoma-Nebraska don’t play every year. Always a highlight of Thanksgiving weekend.
November 4th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
I absolutely cringe everytime ABC picks up a Nebraska game. I wish we’d be banned from the station to be honest. During the TTech game viewers in Augusta, GA were treated to an awesome matchup between two .500 teams — Boston Coll vs NC State! Woohhooooo!!! ABC blows, always has, always will.
I wish Neb would seal a contract with FSN or Versus and never be shown again on ABC. If Brent Musberger is doing the commentating, I may not watch it even if we do get it.
November 4th, 2009 at 9:30 pm
As a sooner fan in florida, it’s great to see that the abc station in orlando will be picking up the nebraska game. Thanks.
November 4th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
ABC is full of it. I am so sick and tired of seeing USC play. And the worse games to. I get that in Nevada, there are a lot of southern californians but give me a break. Arizona State is horrible.
November 4th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Get real USC in Idaho we have two Nebraska watch sites in Boise alone.
November 4th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
ABC FYI Idaho = Nebraska Football
November 4th, 2009 at 10:54 pm
Please put NU/OU on in Chicago!
November 4th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
Quit complaining. Every televised Nebraska game has been available to every home in the United States for the last 15 years. You might have to pay to watch some of them but you can watch them if you WANT to.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:29 pm
Just moved to arizona from nebraska. the worst part is i have to watch pac 10 games. are you kidding me? OU vs NU was one of the biggest rivalry games in the big 8. YOU SUCK ABC. GO CORN
November 4th, 2009 at 11:36 pm
I cannot believe half the state of Illinois gets OU and NU and I’m stuck with UConn here in Champaign!! Illinois is much closer to Big XII country than the terrible Big East.
November 5th, 2009 at 2:26 am
I live in Los Angeles and the locals here don’t even watch USC/Pac 10 games. Put on a rivalry game with two tradition rich teams that have incredible fan base…even in California. More transplants in LA, and all of AZ, will watch the NU/OU game than locals watch USC/ASU.

I wasn’t sure if I’d get UConn @ Cincinnati, but I will. That’s the game I wanted as a USF fan. I can’t believe that the Tampa Bay Area is split. Both ABC Action News(Tampa/St. Pete) and ABC 7 (Sarasota) have different games for some reason (ABC 7 has Oklahoma @ Nebraska). At least those around here with Verizon FiOS get both stations!
November 5th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Whap, biff, oof!!!
November 6th, 2009 at 1:51 pm
Why not move Ohio State -V- Penn State to the 8pm game. Who cares about uconn until basketball season. What a joke. I will be watching another network. Not even ESPN.
November 6th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Good luck on that next year business, Huskers sux and will for Bo’s term. Sooner Boomer
November 6th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
I live in PATHETIC Michigan country, alotho I it won’t be on TV here I checked espn 360 an I GOT IT!!! Check espn 360 again people.. I feel for all of my HUSKER Family that can’t get the game!
November 6th, 2009 at 4:09 pm
Rah, rah, sis, boom, bah–GO TDJ!!!
November 7th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
I also vote for showing the Nebraska-Oklahoma game in this area (Michigan). Who cares about Connecticut & Cinncinatti!!!
