**UPDATED**ABC/ESPN2 Coverage Maps for November 7 3:30 Games
The ABC coverage map for November 7 features three games this week during the 3:30 window. The Big Ten game is #16 Ohio State at #11 Penn State (72%) and will be seen in HD Standard Definition in the reverse mirror on ESPN2. The HD game in the reverse mirror is Wake Forest at #10 Georgia Tech. It will also go to 11% of the country on ABC, and most of the rest of the country in the reverse mirror. Oklahoma State at Iowa State game will not be in the reverse mirror but will go to 17% of the country on ABC.
ESPN2/ABC just send out an email updating the reverse mirror. Now everyone in the blue area will get both of the other games that will be played on ABC. The Wake Forest at Georgia Tech game will still be in HD with the Penn State vs. Ohio State game in Standard Definition.
Here is a link to evening coverage map, and the full college football HD schedule.

Darn, I live in Virgina, that means I won’t get to see the Penn State-Ohio State game in HD!
November 5th, 2009 at 9:38 am
Why? Why is the Ohio State @ Penn State game only SD in ACC territory? Can someone please explain that?
November 5th, 2009 at 12:15 pm
Ho hum, PSU in NYC again. Why am I not surprised???

Rah, rah, sis, boom, bah–GO TDJ!!!

I have never seen ESPN2 broadcast in Stnd Def. Hope they get that straightened out before the OSU-PSU game.
November 5th, 2009 at 5:32 pm
Well, then, Maha, which game would you rather see broadcast in the Big Apple? WF-GT or OK St-ISU? If you think OSU-PSU is “ho-hum” I doubt those other “sleepers” will be any better.
Ryan, ABC MO is normally to give the HD game to the majority of the country that would receive it, ABC cannot support two separate HD telecasts. In this case OSU-PSU goes to 72% of the country via ABC, so the reverse mirror on ESPN2 goes to 72% of the country in HD, in this case that’s WF-GT. I hope ABC realizes that there are many OSU and PSU fans across the country (big alumni and fan base) and that those of us in ACC and Big 12 country are not happy. I can’t believe there are that many WF or GT fans on the West Coast or in Big Ten country that it is worthwhile for ABC to showcase that game as the HD game despite the potential larger audience. I hope the phones are ringing in the ABC Sports (oops, sorry, ESPN on ABC) offices from upset OSU and PSU fans in the reverse mirror audience. I’m guessing this latest move to show the WF-GT game in Big 12 territory is to deflect some of the criticism (now goes to 89% of the country).

A.J.- I would rather see OKST vs. ISU on ABC and put OSU-PSU on ESPN.
November 6th, 2009 at 1:58 pm
Should have moved the osu -v- psu game to primetime.
November 6th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
Maha – to each his own. At least if you have ESPN360 you can see the game. I’m in the ACC zone so I will be watching OSU-PSU in glorious Standard Def.
Osunyg1 – can’t be done because Big Ten does not allow night games after October 31st.
November 6th, 2009 at 7:11 pm
The B10 does not allow games to be moved to primetime. It either is scheduled as a night game to begin the season or it will start at Noon or 3:30.
November 7th, 2009 at 11:17 am
Soooo will the Ok St/ISU game be televised in Iowa then?!?
November 7th, 2009 at 5:11 pm
Well, thanks to WONDERFUL Time Warner Cable in Raleigh, I get to watch GT/Wake in both HD AND SD as they can’t figure out that they’re supposed to be showing the PSU/OSU game on ESPN2 SD. No PSU game on ESPN or ABC in either standard def or HD. What good are the coverage maps if the cable company decides not to follow it?
November 7th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
@ Cory.
Yeah, I’m pretty pissed. I have to watch Penn State on ESPN360, since they decided to show WF/GT on BOTH ESPN2 and ABC.
This makes no sense.
November 7th, 2009 at 5:59 pm
@ Cory, Kai:
This is bullshit. Fuck Time Warner Cable. GT/Wake on both ABC and ESPN2 in Raleigh, NC. Why am I paying for cable if I can’t see one of the biggest college football games of the year?! Seriously, we have the same game on two channels! It makes no sense! I also can’t watch it on 360 since Time Warner is a supported ISP. Fuck Time Warner Cable!
November 7th, 2009 at 6:00 pm
is NOT a supported ISP*

@ Anderson
I called TWC, and they said ESPN screwed up the feeds. They’re in touch with ESPN and are apparently aware of it. They gave me the number for ESPN (860-314-9565) but nobody answered. You would think it would be an easy fix, but apparently not.
November 7th, 2009 at 6:16 pm
Time Warner is absolutely worthless. I have called the Local TWC office multiple times and received a different excuse every single time. I can’t wait till we get free TV over the Internet and TWC’s Monopoly finally and thankfully comes to an end.
November 7th, 2009 at 6:35 pm
Yet again, they show the irrelevant east coast game in HD in most of the country. Penn State is bigger than Wake Forest and Georgia Tech combined, and Ohio State is another 25% bigger than that! This east coast bias is absolutely ridiculous.
November 7th, 2009 at 6:38 pm
whoa. I came back from a shower, and on ESPN2 after halftime, they’ve put on the Penn State game.
Only took them 2 hours to fix…

This is total s***. I have 3 channels of wake forest and the total asshats on espnnews, but no OSU-PSU. I don’t think it’s Time Warner, more ESPN. ESPN is making college sports into the NFL with “conference” preference aka blackouts.
At least they put it on in the third quarter…
November 8th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
I live in South Carolina and have DirectTV. Daughter had birthday party today and get home and flip on ESPN2 and it says it is blacked out WTF? This happened last week to (Can’t remember which game was supposed to be on ESPN2, but it was blacked out to).

Same thing here. I had to watch it on JustinTV.
