2009 Australian Open HD Live Television Schedule
Halfway around the world, the 2009 Australian Open is getting ready to kick-off on Monday morning (Sunday night in the United States). Below is the complete live broadcast schedule in the U.S. We do not list the replays, but have indicated when the overnight matches will be reshown on ESPN2.
High definition coverage will be split between ESPN2 and The Tennis Channel with ESPN broadcasting nearly 100 hours of primetime and overnight coverage.
Once again, DirecTV customers will get their interactive-programming, featuring a Mix Channel with six simultaneous screens, live scores, schedule of play and other on-demand information. The Mix Channel and five court channels will all be available in high definition on channels 701 to 707 on each of the first eight days of the tournament starting at 7 p.m.

DirecTV is supplementing the coverage with 5 available live matches simulatneously, as well as a mix channel. all in HD on channels 701-707 January 18-25. coverage is from 7 pm to 2 am Eastern.

Why can’t anyone be specific. With the major time difference, when are we seeing Aussie time and dates vs EST, CMT, etc.?

ps Direct TV, you need to get the Tennis channel off that, ‘pay an extra 6 bucks a month” program package. You could pretty much remove all those stations. I have had you for over 10 years and from all the nickle and diming you do (3.99 per receiver per month, 4.99 pay per view movies) I keep dropping off your service cause its gotten just as expensive as cable. maybe I need to go back to cable and save that NFL sunday ticket money too.
