Champions League Final Today in HD
The Champions League will play their final today in HD at 2:30 PM in HD on ESPN. The final has Barcelona vs Manchester United, and should be a great game. It features probably the two best teams in Europe as well as the two best players in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. For everyone at work the game will be broadcast on ESPN360. But good news for all the soccer fans who have to work on Wednesdays, from now on the final will be played on Saturday.

Yes, but unless Fox Soccer Channel goes HD very soon we won’t be seeing it in HD. Not sure if it happens next year or not, but FSC has outbid ESPN for the rights to broadcast Champions League games. Hopefully that won’t affect the CL games we can now see on Setanta Sports. Nevertheless, I think ESPN does a pretty good job, and of course HD can’t be overrated. Let’s just hope that when FSC HD finally comes around they choose to broadcast in 1080i (as is done in Europe) and not the 720p that ESPN uses.
