**Updated** Comcast Keeps Showing NFL Network

As of 5/19/2009 a new contract has been signed. Here is a link to the press release.

For everyone that has Comcast but is worried about their contract with NFL Network that expired last night. There is no need to worry . . . yet. There was a statement that was sent out this morning from the NFL and Comcast this morning.

It said, “Comcast and the NFL are engaged in productive discussions toward a new agreement for NFL Network carriage on Comcast. NFL Network will continue to be carried on Comcast systems past tonight’s scheduled expiration of the current contract while both sides continue these productive discussions. We are both working to find a solution that works for NFL fans and Comcast’s customers.”

Their discussions are over what tier NFL Network should be on. The NFL wants it available to more people, while Comcast says it is too expensive.

There will be eight regular season games broadcast in high definition this year. Starting in week 10 and running through week 16. All NFL and NFL network games will be broadcast in high definition this year.
