MLB on Fox Schedule for August 22
If Fox put together a Fox’s fave five commercial it would probably go something like this:
1. New York Yankees
2. Boston Red Sox
3. Los Angeles Dodgers
4. Chicago Cubs
5. Philadelphia Phillies
Well, the schedulers did Fox a favor this week and gave them four of these teams in two games this week. With 62% of the country getting the Yankees, Red Sox game and 37% getting the Cubs Dodgers game. The other percent of the country will get Matlock reruns.
Both of these games have playoff implications. The Yankees lead the Red Sox by 7.5 games (as of Aug. 17) and the Red Sox can close in on the Yankees with a good showing in this series. Maybe more important though, is the fact that the Sawx are one game behind the Rangers in the loss column for the wild card.
For the Dodgers they play to keep their division lead while the Cubs are trying to get back into the playoff hunt.
