NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Coverage Map Thursday 7:00 PM

Here is the NCAA tournament sweet 16 coverage map for the first set of Thursday games. Thanks to everyone who helped out with creating this map by contributing to the google spreadsheet that we put up. We will post the maps for the Friday games tomorrow, so head on over to zap2it and update your zip code. There is a 20 minute gap from the start of the game in Salt Lake to the second one, so hopefully they do not end at the same time.

Gus Johnson has had quite the dry spell of close games recently, so hopefully Butler can shoot well and make it a barn burner.

  1. WVU Fan Says:

No surprise here. Guess I have to go out and watch the WVU-Washington game with the local yokels at my neighborhood sports bar…again. I can’t wait until ESPN/ABC gets the broadcasting rights for the NCAA Tourney. Every game could be televised between ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN classic, plus the Final Four and Nat’l Champ could be shown on ABC. One can only dream….

  2. Columbia Broadcasting Disservice Says:

There is no reason that 8 games can’t be played and televised at different times so that everyone can see every game.

  3. Bill Says:

The map is wrong for the Lexington market. I have been told by people at WYMT that they (and WKYT) will be carrying the WVU/Washington game because the winner will play Kentucky/Cornell. The TitanTV site also shows this and has WJHL showing that game as well.

  4. john Says:

Can’t wait for the day ESPN is able to bid and, hopefully, win the rights to the NCAA Tournament, so we can all see virtually all of the games.
Also most fans dislike how CBS cuts out of a game in progress to show another game. This truly iritates fans!
Also the map for tonight’s game is wrong as far as Ohio and Central Pennsylvania are concerned, as there are more WVU fans in these areas than Syracuse.

  5. drew Says:

    Memphis (WREG) is showing WVU-Washington

  6. wvu Says:

why cant i watch the game i want CBS? i hate cornell the ivy league and kentucky. GO WVU

  7. Sparty Says:

I agree! Even though I am not a huge fan of ESPN.

They could air games on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and even ESPN Classic. Plus, they have ESPN News.

I hate when CBS switches back and forth from games. They even cut away from a great game with only 10 minutes left and go to a game that is uncompetitive.

With ESPN you could have all games shown entirely.
They have enough channels to do it.
