NFL in 3D: The Next Frontier of HD Sports

Thursday night’s NFL Network matchup between the San Diego Charges and Oakland Raiders will be broadcast in 3D to theaters in Los Angeles, New York and Boston on December 4, 2008. A little more than 10 years after the first HD NFL game was broadcast on November 8, 1998 does this mark the start of the next frontier in high definition sports viewing?
