Are you ready for some football?

The 2008 NFL preseason high definition coverage kicks off tonight with the NFL Hall of Fame Game on NBC Sunday Night Football. Then, “Hard Knocks” premiers Wednesday, August 6th at 10:00 PM ET. Unfortunately, still no word from CBS about whether they will be stepping up to full time coverage when the regular season starts.

Evidence that All CBS NFL Games May Be In HD

Those of you who have followed the saga of CBS’ HD NFL coverage may find this interesting. The DirecTV Sunday Ticket Schedule has an HD channel assigned to every game, even the weeks when CBS is broadcasting up to 8 games! This may be the first indication from an NFL partner that CBS will be producing all NFL games in HD this year.

On July 26, Showtime and CBS will broadcast Elite XC MMA starting at 8:00 PM EST in high definition. In all, there will be 7 fights split between the two networks. Coverage starts on Showtime and switches to CBS at 9 PM.
