The ABC coverage map for November 7 features three games this week during the 3:30 window. The Big Ten game is #16 Ohio State at #11 Penn State (72%) and will be seen in Standard Definition in the reverse mirror on ESPN2. The HD game in the reverse mirror is Wake Forest at #10 Georgia Tech which will go to 11% of the country on ABC. Oklahoma State at Iowa State game will not be in the reverse mirror but will go to 17% of the country on ABC.

ABC has four games in their 3:30 Eastern time slot this week. They have also moved the reverse mirror to ESPN2. The ABC coverage map this week features Michigan at Illinois going to 25% of the country and the rest of the country in the HD reverse mirror. Miami (fla.) at Wake Forest will go to 38% of the country and be in the SD reverse mirror. The other games are Kansas at Texas Tech (17%) and California at Arizona State (20%).

ABC will have multiple games on ABC in the 3:30 PM Eastern window this week. After a week of full national telecasts we are back with coverage maps. This week 53% of the country will get #3 USC vs. Washington on ABC. 36% will get #19 Nebraska vs. #13 Virginia Tech and 12% of the country will get Arizona vs. Iowa. ABC and ESPN 2 have released the coverage maps for the Saturday September 3rd 3:30 reverse mirror. ABC will air three games in the 3:30 window, but only two of the games are included in the reverse mirror and not all the games are in HD.

The 2008-2009 College Football season starts Thursday and today ESPN is finalizing preparations for the weekend’s festivities. As with seasons past, ESPN is utilizing a “reverse mirror,” wherein they broadcast a different game on a different ESPN network, depending on the region. This changes the network on which a number of games will be aired, and in order to make sure we know where to find the games, ESPN emails us a detailed map of which games are on in regions around the US.

ESPN 2 will air 6 straight weeks of tennis, leading up to the US Open, which opens on August 25th. Starting July 19th, see all the US Open qualifying events in the US Open Tennis Series.

To kickoff the start of the 2008 ESPN2 AFL Monday Night schedule, a special “Rules Game” telecast will be presented to help fans absorb the finer points of the game. Beginning at 8:30 PM ET Monday, April 14, the broadcast will feature the Chicago Rush vs. Kansas City Brigade on ESPN 2 HD in 720p high definition.

The 2008 MLS Soccer HD schedule has been released, and will feature 59 national games available in high definition on HDNet, ESPN 2 and ABC. The season kicks off on March 29, 2008.Read More…

ESPN will carry their second season of Arena Football League games in high definition. In 2008, ABC HD and ESPN2 HD will carry 18 regular season games and 11 post-season AFL in 720p high definition. Coverage begins Saturday March 1 at 1 PM ET on ABC HD with the Dallas Desperados vs. Georgia Force.

For the second consecutive year, ESPN 2 will broadcast Major League Lacrosse in HD. Five live games will be broadcast in 720p high definition and an additional 6 games will be shown in HD on the network, but they will be tape delayed.
