CBS College Sports & ESPNU to offer HD Football

CBS College Sports, formerly known as CSTV, is currently available in high definition on DirecTV and should be available soon on other carriers. When you combine this with the launch of ESPN U HD in August, we can start dreaming about the number of weekly high def college football games we will have available this fall.

NFL Draft HD Coverage on ESPN (sort of)

Since we received confirmation from the NFL Network that they will not be broadcasting the Draft in HD, we have been looking for information about ESPN HD’s plans. Well… it does not appear the coverage will be shot in HD, but (based on pre-draft coverage), at least they are making good use of the screen real estate.

ESPN and ESPN 2 to Carry Four NIT Basketball Games in HD

The 2008 NIT, National Invitational Tournament, will be carried in its entirety on the ESPN family of networks. However, we have confirmed that only four high definition games will be available on ESPN and ESPN2.

Pac-10, Big Ten and Big East Tournaments full coverage in HD

Following our post last week about the complete coverage of the 2008 ACC Tournament in HD, we have now confirmed that all games of the Men’s Pac-10, Big Ten and Big East Tournaments will also be available in high definition.
