The World Series is about to start this Wednesday on Fox with an Eastern battle between the New York Yankees and the defending world champion Philadelphia Phillies. The Yankees just finished off the Angles and the Phillies beat the Dodgers to get there.

The baseball playoffs are finally upon us, and this kicks off what I like to call the golden month of sports. With the MLB playoffs leading up to the world series the NFL in full swing college football finally getting into conference play, along with the beginning of the NHL and NBA seasons, there is something for everyone.

Once again if you want to be watching baseball on Saturday afternoon you are going to be watching Fox. This week’s featured game is Philadelphia at Atlanta. The defending World Series champions are fresh off a sweep of the Cubs and are looking to expand their lead in the NL East as they face the second place Braves.

ESPN has made some selections for their games that will be coming up in June. They have picked Yankees Red Sox for June 10 (big surprise). For June 15 it will be Brewers Indians and June 22 will have The Cardinals taking on the Mets. The Cleveland Milwaukee game will be a full national telecast the other games will be blocked out in normal blackout areas.

Interleague action this week on Fox. There will be two games broadcast this week. The big one getting 90% of the coverage will pit the world champion Philadelphia Phillies against the New York Yankees. In the new Yankee stadium. Ten percent of the country will see an all Texas match up in Houston with the Astros taking on the Rangers.

Fox has again released its regional plans for the Saturday Game of the Week. We are going to start putting these up again like last year. This week two thirds of the country will get the Mets and Giants. The rest of the country will be split between the other two games.
