Today there are plenty of news stories in the world of HD sports. We thought it would be good to put down a few excerpts about what is happening. First and foremost the NBA Conference Finals will begin tonight.

There will be two huge game 7s in the NBA Sunday. With the Lakers Rockets on ABC and the Celtics Magic on TNT. Now that the NBA knows how long those series will be they have set the dates and times for the rest of the NBA HD Playoffs Schedule.

ABC will be carrying every game of the 2009 NBA finals, since the dates and times have been announced, we thought we would post them just for your information.
The NBA Finals will begin on June 4th and we will be updating this schedule as the teams earn their way into the NBA finals.

The Schedules for the NBA Conference semifinals have been announced. With two game sevens in the Eastern conference’s match-ups are not set quite yet. Orlando does not know where they will be playing but it will be on Monday. Below is the schedule as it stands today 5/2/2009. All times Eastern.

The teams are set and ABC gets their “dream” match up for the 2008 NBA Finals, which begins June 5th. The Lakers and Celtics will face in the Finals for the 11th time, but the first time since 1987.

The NBA Conference Finals Schedules have been posted, and games start tonight, May 20th with an Eastern Conference Playoff game between the Boston Celtics and the Detroit pistons. Tomorrow’s game features a TNT Western Conference Matchup between the LA Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs.

With the Detroit Pistons advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals after knocking off the Orlando Magic in Five games, the NBA Playoffs schedule has been confirmed through Sunday.

With two of the NBA Conference Semifinal series set to reach at least Game 6 and the other two guaranteed to go at least 5 games, today the NBA finalized the times and station assignments for more games this week. The NBA Conference Semifinals will air exclusively on TNT through Thursday Night, and this weekend the matches will air on ESPN and ABC.

The NBA Playoffs Conference Semifinals have started and could continue through May 19th. TNT and ESPN/ABC are splitting coverage of the second round, and all games will be available in high definition.
May 2nd, 2008
A TNT double header Saturday night kicks off the start of the Conference Semifinals with Game 1 of Magic vs. Pistons at 7:30 PM ET, followed by Game 1 of Spurs vs. Hornets.
UPDATE 5/3/2008: Following Friday night games, the schedule for Sunday has been set. ABC will feature a double header starting with Game 7 Celtics vs. Hawks at 1:00 PM ET, followed by Game 1 Lakers vs. Jazz at 3:30 PM ET.
