Heading into the 2008 NCAA Tournament Final Four, CBS is looking at a potentially historic weekend. We are not talking about the first Semifinal Round in tournament history to include all four #1 seeds, but the possibility that this may be the lowest rated tournament ever.

The 2008 NIT, National Invitational Tournament, will be carried in its entirety on the ESPN family of networks. However, we have confirmed that only four high definition games will be available on ESPN and ESPN2.
March 15th, 2008
DirectTV’s “Mega March Madness” will carry all games from the first three rounds of the NCAA tournament in high definition. A total of 37 HD games broadcast by CBS will be available through the exclusive DirecTV pay-per-view package for $69.00 starting March 20.

This week is NCAA Championship Week, with full coverage of the Big East, ACC, Big Ten and Pac-10 tournaments in HD starting Wednesday, March 12.

Following our post last week about the complete coverage of the 2008 ACC Tournament in HD, we have now confirmed that all games of the Men’s Pac-10, Big Ten and Big East Tournaments will also be available in high definition.
